At least one man has been killed by crocodiles and another injured after the heavy rains of cyclone Guba flooded the Eastern province of PNG.   

Villagers and local residents also have to deal with displaced snakes, especially the deadly Papuan black,that have also been chased into the rivers by the floods. Death adders are another hazard and hospital authorities are reported to be running low on anti-venom.
